On June 6, Edmund W. Miles Middle School in Amityville held its annual induction ceremony for the National Junior Honor Society. 

Students were recognized for their exceptional grades, service, leadership, character and citizenship, the pillars of being a member of the society. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Gina Talbert commended this year’s newest members for their commitment to excellence. 

“This is what we strive for in Amityville,” Dr. Talbert said. “It makes our hearts warm and overflowing with joy to see this level of achievement and accomplishment. You’ve shown that excellence isn’t just something you aim for, it’s how you live every single day.” 

The district congratulates each new member of the National Junior Honor Society on this impressive achievement.
